Here I was hoping that June would be the month to get on top of things. I had Matthew Wilder's "Break My Stride" playing in my head:
What song would anyone want more to get the blood pumping and the body moving and to bolster's one's will? OK...The "Rocky" anthem "Eye of the Tiger" would be an exception but I reckon that this song is boppier and doesn't make me feel guilty for skipping the sprints up stairs.
And yet, this blog has been woefully neglected and my newsletter is still fighting with "Break My Stride" - ie for my attention, inside my head, constantly drowned out by synthesisers and a litany of "never met a girl like you...Have to say - Oh!"
Currently, I'm placing the blame on the fact that our TV went poof! and left me with nothing to ignore whilst trying to do some crafting. This coupled with the really cold weather that has me in Michelin-man attire, constantly running to warm myself in front of the fridge...and interruptions to do other things.
Anyway, there's nothing quite like a cyberstamp to give me a shove in the right direction. This month's INKlings set of challenges was hosted by the very lovely Fiona Brown. Her first was based on the sketch clean & simple stamping FTL 44. Not much stamping but lots of cramping cutting for my attempt. It also features one of my favourite things at the moment which is making glittery brads from Supernova glitter, mini glue dots and plain ol' brads. The wide grograin ribbon knot finally found its home on this card after sitting neglected (and in the way, at times!) since December last year when I first tied it into existence.

thank you for including that video - some how I had never seen what Matthew Wilder looked like... so not what I was expecting! I agree, boppy song :)
Love your card, the ribbon is awesome and thankyou for pointing out that the Supernova glitters would work for that technique too. Yum! Funny how the ol' brain works sometimes isn't it?
Lin Mei, I roared with laughter watching that blast from the past! Thank you!
Love your groovy card too!
This is beautiful Lin Mei. It's lovely to see it large and see all the detail. Thanks for joining in the cyberstamp.
Hi Lin Mei
Been a while since I popped by. Just have to say great card, your more patient than me with your cutting!
Take care hun,
Marcia P
Hey Carol! I know what you mean regarding Matthew Wilder ... I wasn't expecting the Barnum & Bailey strongman moustache which imho clashes with the 80's big hair. I should have guessed from the pitch of his voice that he would be ... ummm ... little.
Hey Louise - I have been meaning to get together something to send you in lieu of a convention swap but it hasn't happened yet ... now you know why! Glad you had a laugh - gotta love those Solid Gold dancers too *giggle*
Congratulations on hosting a grand Cyberstamp, Fiona! I enjoyed it a lot. Will post the others soon.
Hello Marcia
I have to say that there hasn't been much reason to visit here recently due to my lackadaisical blog upkeep. Really lovely to see you pop by though - I'll be 'round in a minute! *hugs*
Wow when you say cutting you sure mean cutting. That's not a flower that would jump up at me and say cut me out! (It knows I'm so lazy with the scissors!) LOVE your card. Those glittery brads and the 2 tones with the ribbon are super ideas I'm just dying to try now!
Love the ribbon detai, Lin Mei.
Beautiful card. I love Stampin Up. I've left you an award on my blog!
I've left you an award on my blog!
Hello Sue
