It's about time that I posted a scrapbook page on this blog! Actually, it's about time I completed a scrapbook page full stop. It is kinda funny but I resumed papercrafting in the last few years because of scrapbooking. I accumulated lots and lots of scrapbooking stuff because the variety and loveliness of embellishments and pretty paper were mind boggling and the concept of journalling, meaningful. It also helped that this is one papercraft where you keep the results without any guilt!
Of course, there's always a catch. For me, it was the lack of photographs. I had many digital pictures of loved ones and special events but no printer. I could have gotten the pictures printed but I suppose inertia got the better of me and I used the stash to make cards instead.
Well, I don't have any excuses now (except, perhaps, the Stampertitis and a lack of talent). I recently purchased a colour printer and received some free photo paper just yesterday! It's a sign and it says "Make a heap of scrap!" So, here is the bottom of my pile:
Stampin' Supplies

Chocolate Chip
Real Red
So Saffron

The picture was taken by Hubby while we were in the Old Town of Lijiang, a UNESCO World Heritage Site in China. The town is a marvellous place to wander around in - so much colour and character in the people and the distinctive buildings. One of the highlights is to see the red lanterns lit up at night. Ah! Memories...

Oh a scrapbook page, very nice.
Not only can the girl cardmake but she can scrap too!!
Does this mean you are a scramper as well?
Love it Lin Mei, nicely done.
:)Marcia
Thanks so much Marcia! Lovely to have you visiting. I hope to be a scramper, someday - right now I'd say I'm more of a cramper due to the Stamper's wrist :)
You have the most adorable card on your blog at the moment - love the liddle mice and your composition.
Hi Lin Mei, This is such a pretty page. I hope you do more and inspire us (ie. me) to use stamps more on scrapbook pages. PS: Have you seen the new bazzill swiss dots cardstock. yum! http://bazzillbasics.com/cardstock/dottedswiss/
Hey belle! I will certainly try to do more pages.
The swiss dots cardstock does look cool but you can make your own "Belle's Bugged and Dotted Swiss" with your Cuttlebug Swiss Dots folder, don't you reckon?
Gorgeous Lin Mei! The colours you've used have highlighted the colours in the photo beautifully! Love the flower too! :) K
Thank you very muchly, Kari! I am trying to summon the courage to post a page that actually features a recent photo of me - kinda scared that it'll chase everyone away.
Lin Mei, this page is beautiful. Scrapping can bring back so many great memories, can't it? I know I need to get back to it - and soon.
A warm welcome to my blog, Sharon. It sure does - will you be scrapping your visit to Borneo? You've got some great photos which would look fab in a page. btw you have made some beautiful cards with the new Spring Mini stamp sets!
Gorgeous scrap page Lin Mei - I just love it :-)
Hello Alana! I'm so glad that you like the page. You have posted some awesome cards on your blog - I especially love your bloomin' with beauty card.
