What a tremendous INKling team weekend it was! My amazing upline Jayne did a magnificent job of organising the event, and on top of that, producing the loveliest papercraft treats for each and every one of us. Thank you so much, Jayne!
One of my favourite things about the weekend, apart from meeting lovely and talented INKlings, was the Card in a Box. This is where all the supplies to make a card are placed into a box. As 18 of us took part, I got to make 17 different and wonderful cards. Mine was made using a gorgeous wheel, very appropriately named It's Beautiful, that features in the new Spring Mini. To bring out the lovely flowers and swirls in the wheel, I used the Poppin' Pastels technique to add multiple colours to the image.

What a gorgeous 'Spring is in the air' card. Love the rows of piercing either side. (Did you roll your wheel on a Versamark pad or ink up a cartridge with versamark?? And while I'm on the questions - what do you use to pop your pastels on with? I usually use a cotton ball but that looks like a more elaborate design.) Your weekend sounded great. What a good idea. Cheers, Sue
I loved this card in a box. Thanks for a great sample Lin Mei. I so enjoyed being your roomie too.
Jo
Nicely done. Have always liked Poppin Pastels, and you have done a great job on this one!
:)Marcia
Gorgeous card Lin Mei! Wish I could have been there to make one - oh well, will just have to CASE instead!! :) K
Hey Sue! I'm very sorry about the delay in replying - am finding it harder to stay online while I've been here. I've inked up the wheel using a VersaMark pad (dissuaded by reports of having to re-ink lots when using the cartridge even though I had bought a blank one for this very purpose!) I bought some tiny decorative pom poms held by a Pebbles Inc tool which is a clip on the end on a wooden handle. Since there were so many pom poms, I used one for each colour :)
Thank you muchly, Jo! I especially appreciated how you took care of your roomies.
Hi Marcia! I so wanted to leave a comment on your fantastic cards but I have to find a way to do so without altering my father's default profile. I don't want him leaving inflammatory remarks (as he usually does) under my identity!
Thanks so muchly, Kari! I admit that it isn't hard to CASE this one :) Would have been so great if you could have come too but it is a long way to travel.
Oh! I should have asked you to send the swaps to me here but I'll have something to look forward to when I return home (well, Hubby is the first thing I'm looking forward to ...)
